We have an immediate opening for a Nutritional Service Tech. Candidate will have a minimum of 1 year previous food service experience; 1-2 years Hospital setting preferred.

Shift: Hours vary anytime between 6:00am-7:00pm

Starting salary: $13.50/hr. and up depending on experience

Position Summary:

The Nutrition Services Tech, performs food delivery and service to the patients and café and takes care of all kitchen dining, dish room needs. Incumbent duties also include dish room and cashier responsibilities. This position's primary responsibility will be to prepare and cook food.

Position Responsibilities:

-Help procure patient and café tray line
-Prepare and cook food
-Assures customer satisfaction
-Set-up, maintain, breakdown and clean up all areas
-Work in dish room
-Maintains a clean and sanitized work area including kitchen, café and dining
-Work cash register
-Deliver patient meals and collect empty trays
-Unload delivery trucks
-Stock supplies and rotate supplies
-Monitor all food temperatures to ensure they are in the correct range and replace as needed
-Monitors and cleans food service equipment
-Set-up and serve catered events as required

Physical Demands:

This job involves constant standing, pulling of carts and equipment. The incumbent must be able to lift 40 pounds and must be able to endure heat. Hours may be extended to meet the needs of the department.

Knowledge/Experience:

To fulfill the requirements of this position, it is highly desirable for the incumbent to have a high school diploma or equivalent GED and 2-3 years in a restaurant environment. Must have the ability to read and write. CPU experience is a plus.
