Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
ABOUT KIDSSPOT'S Orlando Children's Therapy
Orlando Children's Therapy is a leading pediatric clinic throughout various counties on Florida's East Coast. As a therapist at Orlando Children's Therapy, you will emphasize communication with families, caregivers, and other professionals who provide care for the child. Ongoing assessments and re-evaluations will measure the child's progress toward his/her individual goals. In addition, families and caregivers are invited to be active members in the intervention process and will be offered strategies and exercises to utilize between visits to encourage ongoing progress. Orlando Children's Therapy provides Early steps care in the clinic, home, and daycare settings. Orlando Children's Therapy participates with North Beaches and Space Coast Early Steps which cover Brevard, Flagler, and Volusia counties.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with Kids with a wide spectrum of abilities. Every day you will have the opportunity to be sure you are fully prepared before your clients for the day arrive. This would include setting up equipment, organizing paperwork, and putting together fun activities to help get the most out of your treatments. For those who are nervous about creating your own activities, we already have some in place you can utilize but for those who like the idea of creating new activities you have that creative freedom to produce your own.
You will enjoy meeting with clients and their parents while providing updates on progress, goals, and ways to continue progress throughout the week while at home. Feel free to include fun activities in your sessions to keep the kiddos engaged. You will assist with various responsibilities, like charting, and returning calls. You'll find time to work on paperwork, chart your clients' notes, and assist with anything your co-workers may need help with. Remember, teamwork makes the dream work! Participating in sessions with your team members not only creates opportunities for you to gain valuable caregiving skills but also provides opportunities to build lasting relationships with your co-workers. Before the end of the day, you'll clean up and make sure all your final notes are completed and head home!
