Our Skilled Nursing Facility is looking for a talented and hard-working Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our ever-growing team. Excellent Salary and Benefits package offered.
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs components of occupational therapy procedures and related tasks selected by a supervising occupational therapist within the scope of practice of occupational therapist assistants. Provides resident treatments to help residents with physical, developmental or emotional disabilities improve their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) needed for their environment. Assists residents in improving basic motor skills, reasoning abilities, compensatory techniques for functional loss, adaptive equipment training and environmental adjustments to achieve optimum independence and improving a resident’s quality of life. Provides care planning, education, and consultations related to occupational therapy services. Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
· Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association) program.
· Two years clinical experience preferred.
· NYS License in good standing as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $33.00 per hour
