Lyons Industries works with a variety of companies in the rail industry as well as a range of other commercial companies. We provide skilled welding, machining, and fabrication to a wide array of customers. We have completed countless jobs since 1954. In the 68 years that we have been in business we have evolved continuously along with the market however, one thing that we have always valued has been the family dynamic that we have fostered throughout. Job Duties:

We are looking to welcome a new office worker to the Lyons Industries, Inc team. As such some of the duties would include:

· Payroll – Calculate employee hours and track attendance issues such as tardiness and hours scheduled vs. hours worked.

· Accounts Payable- Pay various invoices. Categorize and organize them into an existing system. Keep all invoice records organized.

· Account Reconciliation – Balance financial statements.

· Quarterly Reporting/Tax Reports – Carefully complete all necessary business tax forms as well as quarterly earnings reports.

· Estimating/Quoting – Work with the current estimator to locate and calculate material cost for upcoming projects and forecast labor cost

· Ordering Material – Order material for coming jobs, order parts and. equipment as the need arises, shop around for the best quality and price.

· Emails – Initiate or respond to customer or vendor emails using the company domain. Remain professional and courteous and maintain the company’s image.

Candidates should exhibit a strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, be self-motivated, and should consistently display a positive attitude with the ability to work well with a team or as an individual. Candidates should be prepared to be adaptable in learning new things and thinking outside of the box to complete the task at hand. On the job, paid training will be provided.

Job Type:

Starting Wage:

· $15.00

Experience:

  • Payroll: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
  • Microsoft office suite: 1 year (Preferred but not required))
