The NEW Homewood Suites Oak Creek is looking for part time, on call, banquet set up to help prepare for our events. This position is based on our event schedule. We are looking for friendly and professional individuals who work as a team player. As banquet setup, you will be responsible for setting tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, audio visual, as well as tearing down and cleaning at the end of an event. Opportunity to work as a server during the event if interested!

Job Requirements:

• Sets up, maintain, and tear down banquet rooms after event has concluded.
• Set up for AM or PM break stations that include coffee, tea, snacks, beverages, etc.
• Break down to include putting away dirty linen, centerpieces, tables, and chairs, vacuuming, and mopping dance floor.
• Responsibilities also include cleaning of back hall and organizing of storerooms.
• Cleans and sanitizes tables and/or counters & seats after guests are finished.
• Work as a team player in meeting guests needs.
• Interacts with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
• Maintains constant awareness of safety issues.
• Listen attentively and follow direction from banquet manager.
• Adhere to attendance policy, grooming/appearance standards, general work rules and department procedures.
• Complete all assigned duties within or outside the normal scope of responsibilities.
• Complete all required side work and take initiative to assist wherever necessary.

Qualifications:

• One or more years of previous setup experience
• Attention to detail and ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment
• Ability to speak, understand, and write English in order to meet guest’s needs

Education:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
