DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for satisfying customer requests and expectations for fit. Alterations, resizing and restyling of all merchandise retailed in Neiman Marcus stores. Assist sales associates in achieving their goals with professional assistance with fit, alterability and structural quality of apparel merchandise.
Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


The Qualified Applicant may have vocational or experience as a presser, preferably in an alterations operations or industrial environment which offered exposure to a variety of garment styles and types of fabrications.


OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

  • To press and spot clean customers; and store owned garments.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Knowledge of fabrics types and content, specific applicability of various cleaning solvents, and different types of garment construction are particularly important.
  • Under general supervision, using press irons, press boards, presses and spot cleaning equipment. A Presser must press all garments needing to be pressed and spot clean all garments within the workroom needing to be spot cleaned.
    • Press garments for Customers, stock fashion shows and displays.
    • Mix cleaning solvents for spot cleaning of garments
    • Spot Clean customers’ and store owned garments.
    • Inspect completed work during the pressing process and report workmanship errors to supervisor.
    • Paper Stuff completed garments.
