The University Lecturer/Senior University Lecturer position requires teaching 12 credits each semester at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Essential Functions:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses online as well as create course content and materials.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Successful candidates must have an MS in a computing related area.
- Outstanding candidates in information science, information technology, and other computational areas will also be considered.
- Five (or more) years of IT industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience teaching online courses as well as designing and building online courses.
- Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) as well as with online video conferencing and collaboration tools (e.g., WebEx, Slack).
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior University teaching experience is an advantage, as is significant industrial experience.
- Experience with online proctoring systems (e.g., ProctorU).
