Position Summary

The OpenText Content Suite SME will support development of scanning solutions on Intelligent Capture / Captiva based on customer requirements. The solutions will involve using Captiva web and thick clients for scanning and indexing of documents. Solutions will require export of batch documents to xECM / Content Suite and other content management repositories. The senior developer will gather and analyze requirements, propose solution approaches based on requirements, install configure Captiva components, create processes based on requirements, develop custom components as needed for requirements, deploy solutions in development and higher environments. As part of this work, the senior developer will need to estimate work, assist with project planning, identify dependencies, coordinate with team members, create documentation, develop test cases for functionality, provide deployment build and release support, and support automation of the deployment process.

The OpenText Content Suite SME will be a technical expert on projects using Intelligent Capture / Captiva and will have significant experience with .NET development against Intelligent Capture / Captiva. The senior developer will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills that can be applied to debugging problems with installation, configuration, processes, and custom code.

Required experience:

• 5+ years as a developer in .NET and web services (using JSON/XML service interactions)
• 2+ years using Intelligent Capture / Captiva 16.4 and later
• developing web UI and backend application components
• developing with awareness for caching, transaction management, threading, concurrency, performance tuning, and application-level monitoring
• using Microsoft SQL Server as a backend for Captiva and other .NET-based applications
• creating relational databases, tables, and writing SQL for stored procedures and functions
• integrating Captiva with OpenText Content Suite repositories for export of scanned documents
• working within varying project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)

Required soft skills:

• Excellent communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work on own and in a team-oriented environment
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong use of Microsoft Office productivity tools including, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint

Required skills:

• Fully conversant with .NET, C#, HTML
• Knowledge of RDMBS systems and ERD design
• OpenText Content Server
• OpenText Captiva

Desired experience:

• xECM knowledge is desired
