Job Description:
As the Operational Excellence Leader for BW Papersystems you will play a critical role in expanding the Barry-Wehmiller Operating System (BW Way) across the site. You will support leadership in the analysis, development, planning and execution of continuous improvement and lean initiatives using strategy deployment, lean methodologies, and visual metric/KPI tracking throughout all departments of the site. In addition, you will coach, train and mentor leaders/teams to promote the BW Way. This position will require you to drive change in a fast paced ever changing environment while using a hands-on approach.
Primary Responsibilities:

Develop a lean strategy by optimizing processes across multiple departments and work groups.

Analyze data to identify areas of improvement.

Identify, plan, and lead the execution of lean transformation events created to improve the site flow, velocity and productivity.

Drive objectives in the areas of safety, quality, profitability, efficacy, and cost.

Coach others to become effective continuous improvement champions.

Create and utilize training materials to provide learning in traditional and non-traditional settings.

Collaborate with subject matters experts to create standard materials for local deployment of the BW Way.

All other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
-
5+ years’ experience in a production, manufacturing, supply chain, military, or related environment

3+ years’ experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies
