Serves as an internal operations consultant. Develops analysis and monitors key indicators for improved operational performance at the organizational and department level; identifying opportunities; providing information and consultation to management and departments with a focus on operational effectiveness. Serves as an operational consultant to Executive Management of Behavioral Health Services (BHS) by making recommendations to assure the goals of the organization are achieved. Exercises considerable initiative, independence, and judgment regarding preparation of analysis, development of recommendations, and identification and resolution of problems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree in Healthcare/Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of healthcare experience including broad knowledge of clinical quality, regulations, finance, strategic planning, and industry trends required.
  • Expert use of spreadsheet, graphics, assigned specialty applications and database software with the ability to integrate elements.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software or other data tools independently, as needed.
  • Must possess experience with preparing analysis from complex data and providing results and recommendations in both written and oral form.
  • Presentation experience with a variety of audiences including staff, physicians, and senior management.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills required to develop and prepare analysis, reports, and presentations, and to manipulate database information from hospital systems.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively provide leadership, consultation, and technical support to HFMH management and personnel, to effectively convey results and recommendations, and to interact with outside consultants and vendors.
  • Capacity for high production output and management of multiple projects and shifting deadlines.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines is essential.
  • Must be familiar with key issues in healthcare and can relate their impact to the organization.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Henry Ford Experience by integrating both Behaviors and Operating Principles in all internal and external customer interactions.
