Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Manager as part of Consumer and Small Business Banking Operations Deposit Legal Services (DLS) Team within Retail Core Operations (RCO). Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com/career-areas.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead a team who responds to legal orders served on the bank.
  • Manage and develop one or more specialized customer service and operations functional teams within Operations area with complex and risk in functional area
  • Develop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance
  • Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area
  • Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to more experienced management
  • Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
  • Provide responsibility for budget and financial performance
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Workforce management experience including directing activities of team members, performance management, career development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization including senior leadership/management
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Experience with capacity planning, forecasting, process improvement, and measurements
  • Ability to anticipate and make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
  • Ability to provide strong customer service and develop customer and partner relationships
  • Proven analytical skills and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated experience in trend analysis and recommending appropriate changes to identify and address root cause.
  • Background with legal orders such as Summons and Subpoenas
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Hogan system experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work on-site at the posted work location
  • Position will be 8:30 am to 5 pm local time - with open ended requirement to support business needs and volumes. May include occasional Saturdays.
