The operations specialist is responsible for knowing the providers that join and leave the medical group, as well as the locations the medical group has. The Operations Specialist will interact with people on a regular basis, whether it’s office managers, department heads, or doctors. Operations Specialist will report directly to the Sr. Operations Manager.

Operations Specialist must be able to work independently with minimal oversite, think outside the box, and work in a fast paced, high volume work environment. Operations Specialist must also be detail oriented, have strong communication skills, and always want to learn more.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for new divisions.
  • Lead regular calls with various MSO departments.
  • Coordinate location changes with practices and with the MSO.
  • Manage monthly manager newsletter and quarterly physician newsletter.
  • Update implementation database and central database on a regular basis.
  • Renew and apply for business licenses.
  • Manage and maintain expireable (medical license, DEAs, and others) for credentialing department.
  • Update CAQH for all BASS providers.
  • Follow up with payors on providers that are pending.
  • Manage and maintain the credentialing & operations inbox.
  • Manage & maintain fictitious business names and fictitious name permits for medical group (as a backup).
  • Assign and manage HIPAA and OSHA Compliance training (as a backup).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive “can do” attitude.

Compensation will be based on experience.

Pay Scale/Ranges:

$25-$30/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*
