An ideal candidate must absolutely love working with patients and be genuinely positive and enthusiastic. This will be a full time position and we are looking for candidates with relevant experience.
Responsibilities/Duties will include but not limited to:
- Promptly and professionally assisting the doctor in patient care.
- Performing technical workups, patient histories and special testing.
- Responsible for maintaining medical supply and equipment inventory.
- Maintain and clean all equipment being used. Report to Equipment
- Coordinator if not in working condition.
- Returning phone calls to patients and pharmacies in a timely manner.
- Efficiently and accurately interview patients and documents histories.
- Assists the doctor with contact lens evaluations.
- Safely and effectively complete contact lens insertion and removal training with patients.
- Accurately performs:
- Lensometry
- Tonometry
- Humphrey Visual Fields
- Muscle Testing
- Pupil Exams
- Topography
- OCT
- Fundus Photos
Minimum Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant is a plus but not required.
- Candidate must be professional, dependable, energetic, customer service oriented and a team player.
