Summary of Position

Responsible for auditing keyed orders to ensure complete and accurate keying information is provided and working with customers to resolve open issues. Also developing organized number-based key systems that are used to create product used to secure buildings.


Principal Responsibilities


  • Review and Edit customer orders to insure that all information (product and keying) is valid.
  • Research and validate existing Master Key systems
  • Consult with sales representatives, distributors and end-users on proposed layout of specific key systems, product functionality.
  • Fulfill system information requests from sales representatives, distributors and customers.
  • Provide keying support to in-house customer service, as well as to field sales.
  • Interact with manufacturing to meet customers’ requirements.
  • If required perform as Key Systems Designer backup by generating new and maintain existing Master Key Systems by using computer software or manual records.
  • Work within company policies/procedures relating to key system management
  • Support Department Manager/Supervisor as required.

Requirements


  • Bachelor Degree in Math or Engineering, or 4+ years equivalent experience.
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly developed skills in problem solving
  • Solid PC skills including proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-directed, well organized and have good follow-up skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team member without direct supervision
  • Ability to learn and the principles and concepts of the development of a mechanical master keying system
