OVERNIGHT MONITOR-PER DIEM

Pay: $13-$14

Location: Danville, PA!

Hours: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or GED

We are currently looking for Overnight Monitors to insure the safety and well-being of all clients and the physical plant during the overnight hours of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. in our Residential Facility.

SUMMARY

To ensure the safety and well-being of all clients and the physical plant during the overnight hours of 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Remains awake and alert and effectively implements DTAC’s policies and procedures for the overnight shift hours
  • Provides for the health, safety, security, and appropriate social interaction and social behavior of the clients.
  • Provides proper documentation and gives a verbal report pertaining to interactions with clients.
  • Maintains appropriate discipline and takes action as needed
  • Performs any other duties assigned by a member of the management team.
  • Reads staff log and follows through with any directions given to the overnight staff.
  • Performs periodic random checks on the youth, no more than 15 minutes apart. Performs document checks utilizing an overnight checklist. Documents in staff log any unusual sleeping patterns, talking in sleep, etc.
  • Remains in bedroom area with only short periods of absence to facilitate coffee runs and necessary use of restroom. Other staff are to expand their scope of supervision during these time periods.
  • Performs periodic checks of the physical plant not more than two hours apart. Documentation of any problems within the physical plant is forwarded to the Administrative Coordinator
  • Maintains conservation practices by eliminating all unnecessary use of electricity, i.e., lights, air conditioner.
  • Assists in the morning routines of clients, if necessary, i.e., waking residents, helping prepare breakfast, overseeing morning routines.
  • Helps clients integrate a positive, healthy attitude toward their new day.
  • Documents significant interactions with residents.

You must be at least 21 years old. Ability to obtain Act 33 clearances, Criminal History and FBI Act 73 clearance. A valid driver's license is required. Ability to pass Safe Crisis Management is also required.
