The ideal candidate will possess experience following procedures to perform routine packing work.
Hours: 11pm-7am – 3rd shift, 8 hours
Salary: $17/hour
Key Responsibilities of a Packer
- Pick and package a variety of printed materials or print related items.
- Excellent knowledge of routine and non-routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment, and basic warehouse procedures.
- May require basic skill in using heat sealers, cutters, hand and power tools.
- May be asked by Shift Supervisor to provide guidance, training or leadership to less experienced packers. Perform other duties as assigned by shift Supervisor.
- Must be able to maintain focus and productivity rate when working independently.
- Must have the aptitude to read various types of measuring instruments (rulers, line gauge etc.).
- Must be able to execute physical motions/requirements of the job in a safe manner.
- Ability to lift approx. to 40 lbs. on occasion with or without accommodation
- Must be able to keep pace with machine
- Can work in a team environment
- In-depth understanding of basic printing technologies
- Excellent physical strength and stamina
- Excellent time-management skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
