Packing Room Employees Job at Grafton Village Cheese
Position Summary:
Duties and responsibilities include working in a clean food environment making cheese by following all policies and procedures introduced under the food safety plan. All personnel are encouraged to work as a team member to meet company social, product and safety goals.
Reports to: Finished Goods Manager
Essential Job Functions
- Work as a team member to cut and package cheese in different size cheese blocks, seal different size cheese blocks and label and box different size cheese blocks. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Working in a clean food producing environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs
- Good attention to detail in food production as well as cleaning
- Attend training to gain essential food safety knowledge in accordance with SQFI programs
- Be responsible to communicate/report and food safety or quality problems to appropriate supervisor/manager
- Follow all safety procedures
Required Skills * Strong communication/collaboration skills
- Good decision making
- Working as part of a team
- Consistent attendance is required
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours for long periods of time
Required Experience * High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years in a related industry helpful but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
