Primary Function

Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a part-time administrative associate to provide office support to the TRIO SSS program for a set schedule of 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, which can be determined at the time of hire. This is a grant funded position.

Essential Duties

The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.

  • Provides office support for the TRIO SSS program, including typing, photocopying, scanning and filing; creating and storing data files; entering data; handling incoming telephone calls; providing general information about the program; scheduling appointments; scheduling and coordinating program activities and events; and other administrative duties
  • Creates and distributes program information
  • Assists with the development of presentations and program reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support students and grant requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Two years of office experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
  • Database skills
  • Teamwork abilities
  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess
    • an associate degree in office technology, secretarial science or a related field
    • prior grant support experience

Supplemental Information

This part-time support staff position is grant-funded and non-standard. Benefits are not available for this position. The method we use to calculate the successful candidate's starting pay is based on the candidate's formal education and relevant work experience and how that relates to the education and work experience of our current employees in the same pay grade. The starting salary for this position will likely not exceed $21.00 per hour, but will be no less than $15.95.

Days and hours of work are:

  • 25 hours per week; 49 weeks per year
  • Work schedule is variable, Mon. - Fri. The exact schedule can be determined at the time of hire.
