Parts Team Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Communicate with service technicians, service department, manufacturers, distributors, and customers to order, stock, sell, and provide information about marine parts.
  • IPAD Key Accountabilities and Boundaries:

I – Initial Responsibilities

  • Parts inventory is maintained.
  • Supply the service team needed parts consistent with service system protocol and scheduling.
  • Keep pertinent notes updated and current on Dockmaster and Task Master.
  • Work with our technicians to identify and acquire parts needed for repair work.
  • Prepare service estimates for customers, service jobs, and sales.
  • Support all departments and team members with parts needed.
  • Assist in ordering parts when needed.
  • Proofread work orders for parts and accessory accuracy as needed.
  • Receive incoming parts into our system and locate them appropriately.
  • Serve all customers with parts-related concerns professionally via email, phone, and over the counter when required.
  • Learn to operate a small forklift to unload parts shipments.

P – Preferred Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of marine parts is grown, maintained, and current.
  • Represent the Lake Norman Marina culture of serving, both customers and associates.

  • Maintain organized work area.
  • Maintain organized parts room and parts storage areas.

Work Environment:

The Parts Team member works primarily at the parts desks communicating with Parts Manager, service technicians, the service writers, Service Manager, sales team, parts vendors, and customers while often communicating with different departments to assist in the execution of the team’s job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
