Department Summary
The Study Abroad Office is responsible for coordinating the university’s study abroad and exchange programs and also serves as a Department of State-approved Passport Acceptance Facility. Study Abroad has a mandate to expand student participation and to integrate study abroad into the UNT curriculum. We aim to develop new opportunities to meet the unique needs of the UNT community and increase student access to global educational experiences. Passport and photo services are also available to the public.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant serves as the primary passport acceptance agent and coordinates daily passport office operations. This position complies with all federal passport acceptance facility training requirements and standards; maintains a passport acceptance services calendar based on demand and financial return; ensures that all office visitors and callers receive a prompt, accurate, and welcoming response; coordinates the purchase of passport supplies and equipment maintenance; maintains online tools for marketing and scheduling through Google and Microsoft Booking; develops a feedback mechanism to assess customer satisfaction; and analyzes survey results to promptly address issues. This position will also support business functions by maintaining a monthly record of passport services statistics and reconciling passport revenue and expense.

Minimum Qualifications
A U.S. Passport Acceptance Agent must meet the following qualifications: ·
- Be a United States citizen or non-citizen U.S. national ·
- Be unable to access birth or identity document printing, amending, or issuance functions, including performing duties on different days or hours As well as be all of the following:
- Not presently on parole or probation related to any Federal, State, or local convictions
- Not presently under indictment for a Federal, State, or local felony, or a misdemeanor related to breach of trust or moral turpitude
- Free of any Federal, State, or local felony convictions
- Free of any Federal, State, or local misdemeanor convictions related to breach of trust or moral turpitude (i.e. embezzlement, document fraud, drug offense, or dishonesty carrying out a responsibility involving public trust)
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant customer service experience.
- Ability to communicate application instructions and guidelines clearly and professionally.
- Ability to remain positive, professional, and calm when faced with challenging customers.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred

Work Schedule
Saturdays from 8am-1pm (REQUIRED).
