• Under the direction of the System Manager, the Patient Access Associate is responsible to register patients for all hospital services using the Hospital Information System.
• Excellent customer service skills, knowledge of third party billing requirements and effective communication skills ensures this process is completed in a timely manner.
• Equally important is the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal processing errors.

EDUCATION:

• Level of knowledge equivalent to Associates degree in related field.

EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of insurance plan requirements, medical terminology and PC knowledge.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Exceptional customer service skills are critical.
• Good interpersonal, organizational communication skills; both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and respond effectively to multiple and /or changing job expectations.
• Must be able to read and write and understand English.
