Payment Processing Admin

Our Public sector clients in Louisville is looking for a Business Accountant to join their team in the Office of Management and Budget. This new hire will be working in the Accounts Payable department assisting with payment processing and vendor set-up due to an influx of vendors from federal government COVID funding.

Essential Functions:

· Reviews and processes departmental cost center accounting activities

· Reconciles accounts, prepares reports and completes special projects

· Processes requests for purchase orders and assigns cost centers for payment of invoice

Examples Of Work:

· Contacts vendors to resolve invoice and billing issues

· Examines accounting documents and accounts for accuracy and compliance with policies and acceptable accounting standards, makes journal entries, and reconciles and balances accounts

· Prepares and reviews financial schedules and coordinates finance and accounting projects and programs with departments and external agencies

· Prepares reports and correspondence, completes special projects, and maintains records and files

· Reconciles departmental cost centers and accounting activity to ensure accurate reporting of transactions

· Develops and maintains communication and effective working relationships with metro departments and external agencies and organizations

Minimum Requirements:

o Bachelor's degree or substitute experience

o Two years of office setting experience, administrative skills, MS Excel, accounts payable or accounts receivable or Data Entry, or payroll processing
