This position will be based at our Madison, WI office working a hybrid schedule.
Please note: This position may be hired at a Payroll Coordinator or Senior Payroll Coordinator level given the skills/experiences of the candidate and business need.
As a
Payroll Coordinator you will assist in the timely and accurate processing of payroll-related payments including bi-weekly payroll, bonus, and variable incentive payments. The
Payroll Coordinator assists with data uploads, data integrity and system testing coordination. In addition, this role is responsible for processing payroll transactions such as payroll validations, employment verifications, status changes, time entry corrections, and off-cycle payments.

Required Qualifications:
Payroll Coordinator:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
- 1+ years experience in payroll, accounting, HRIS or similar work.
Senior Payroll Coordinator:
- Associate degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, or HRIS.
- 1+ years of experience working with a large payroll system (preferably SAP).
- 1+ years of experience working with Federal and State payroll tax, wage and hour laws, and garnishment laws.
Other Qualifications:
- Preferred Associate degree in Business or related field.
- Preferred experience working with a payroll system (preferably SAP).
- Preferred Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation.
- Knowledge of Federal and State payroll, tax, wage, and hour laws.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Excel.
- Strong ability to work with complex data and systems reporting.
- Ability to learn new technologies, processes, and practices quickly.
- Proven oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
- Experience working independently and as a team player.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
This position has a hourly rate of pay that may range from $20.80-26.00 per hour, based on a number of factors which may include position level, internal equity and market location, and may also vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Associates are also eligible for a potential annual performance award (bonus), based on annual individual and company performance.
