We are searching for a Payroll Specialist (Temporary) to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL (Hybrid if candidates live within 50 miles).

We will consider 100% remote for candidates located in the following states: AR, CA, GA, IL, KY, NY, NC, OR, PA, TX, UT VA, WA, WI.

Your Role:

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for providing payroll and administrative support to the Corporate Payroll Team. The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Run a salary and hourly payroll and support the HQ payroll team with other pay groups as required.
  • Run assigned payroll reports and audit and correct any errors or discrepancies.
  • Support salary nonexempt payrolls by tracking time sheets.
  • Pull final payroll reports for the field locations.
  • Support the payroll inbox and answer requests.
  • Distribute Payroll Mail and upload tax and garnishment orders in Smart Compliance.
  • Maintain confidential files.
  • Additional processes as needed.

Ultimately, you will use your organization skills to ensure the successful operations of the HR and Payroll teams and will also help ensure that our employees are well-informed and satisfied.

We need you to have:

  • Associates degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 3-5 years of professional payroll experience
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Strong Analytical and Organizational Skills
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
  • Skills to handle conflict resolution situation and coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues.

Icing on the cake:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, preferred
  • Experience using ADP and SAP
