PBX Operator - Full Time Job at NORTHEASTERN HEALTH SYSTEM
Position Summary
Operates the switchboard for hospital in order to provide routine information and directs calls to appropriate areas.
Position Accountabilities
Answers all incoming phone calls and directs them to the appropriate location.
Registers drop off labs according to procedures.
Updates all patient status changes and daily Census verification with appropriate communication.
Communicates with Transfer Coordinator and other medical staff as needed on transfer patients.
Enters ED charges from charge sheet and scans in ED charts.
Receives payments and issues receipts. Calculates discounts as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education - High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum Experience - On the job training or equivalent training in PBX
Certification - NIMS: 100, 200
