Personal Care Aide – Free PCA Training Starts Feb 14 Job at CareGivers Home Care

Our Canton, NY branch is currently looking for Personal Care Aides to work in Canton NY, Massena NY, Potsdam NY, Ogdensburg NY, and other towns throughout St. Lawrence County. We also have work in Malone NY and Franklin County. Not a certified PCA? No problem – we’re now enrolling qualified applicants in our Free Personal Care Aide training class, details below!
PCA Rate: $16.25 / hour
PCA Training Class – Free
Dates: Feb 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 8:00am to 4:30pm – we are limiting class size to 3 people to maintain social distancing, so get your info in now! Only 2 spots left!
The class is a total of 56 hours and will be scheduled in full days. Attendance is required on all scheduled days.
Location: CareGivers Home Care, 19 Hodskin Street, Canton, NY 13617
Reliable transportation is required
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID (NYS DOH mandate)
Tuition for the class is free, you will not be paid for attending the class
If you successfully complete the course, you will be a New York state certified Personal Care Aide
Attendance on each day of the training class is required. Those who complete the class with a passing grade, meet all health requirements, and successfully complete the hiring process will receive an offer for employment. If you are hired, you will need to provide the following information… the faster you provide this information, the faster we can get you to work:
Proof of immunizations required
Recent/current physical required
Minimum of 2 references required
EOE/AA Disability/Veteran
PERSONAL CARE AIDE JOB DUTIES: Your day might include: providing a safe way for clients to feel clean and refreshed (personal care); learning some new recipes and preparing meals; tidying their home to keep them healthy and being sure they follow their medication schedule. Other care may be needed to keep them safe.
