Pest Control Technician Job at Elmore County
Full-time position with the Elmore County Mosquito Abatement Department. Hourly pay offered $15.01 DOE/DOQ, plus a comprehensive benefits package including: PERSI retirement, exceptional medical insurance and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave. Primary duties include performing work related to the Countywide Mosquito Abatement program; Reports to the Mosquito Abatement Supervisor.
Minimum Experience and Ability:
· High school diploma or equivalent general educational development (GED) certification.
· Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
· Sufficient personal mobility, strength and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation to sit/stand for long periods of time, walk over various types of terrain, safely operate four-wheel drive vehicles, ATV and UTV’s, and ULV sprayer, and able to lift 50 pounds.
· Work a varied schedule, including nights and early morning hours to include on call periods in case of fires, spills and other emergencies. *During May – Sep hours will be 4 pm – 12 am, M-F*
License/Certification Requirements:
· Idaho Professional Applicators License (Laws and Safety; Public Health categories) or ability to test and obtain certification within one month of employment is required.
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
