Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job at Memorial Community Health, Inc.
Memorial Community Health, Inc. is looking to fulfill the position of Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). This position is full time, Monday through Friday. This role will cover outpatient and hospital. In this position you will evaluate and establish plan of care and treats patients referred by a healthcare provider for physical rehabilitation services to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Memorial Community Health.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
· Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
· One (1) year of physical therapy experience preferred
Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:
· Current/Active license to practice in the State of Nebraska
· Basic Life Support (BLS)
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs and documents physical therapy treatments as delegated by the Physical Therapist.
- Performs treatment related tasks assigned by Physical Therapist in accordance with certification by the State of Nebraska.
- Follows the established plan of care working towards functional goals based on identified patient needs.
- Provides and documents patient/family instructions regarding the use of assistive devices.
- Communicates relevant patient care information with other health care professionals.
- Performs various clerical duties to support effective department operations.
- Assists with maintaining clean and safe treatment areas and equipment.
- Performs emergency treatment as required in accordance within Physical Therapist scope of practice.
