Cabot is seeking experienced maintenance technicians/mechanics to join our team at our Haverhill Inkjet manufacturing plant. We are the primary manufacturing facility for inkjet colorants for both packaging, commercial, and desktop markets. This inkjet colorant product line is the market leader for aqueous pigment dispersions utilized in the desktop inkjet market.

The maintenance technician/mechanic will troubleshoot and repair equipment across a variety of maintenance crafts – mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC. Additionally, they will perform preventative maintenance and respond to predictive maintenance alerts, all while maintaining the highest regard for safety and the environment. This position requires you to be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift (5:45AM-5:45PM).

A successful candidate will be someone who:

• Has an aptitude for machine maintenance – inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing both manufacturing and facilities mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Understands basic electrical systems and tools to diagnose equipment and systems.
• Can repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and piping components and joints.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and systems following an existing schedule.
• Uses established business management system to enter and record findings of work orders and consumption of parts.
• Is interested in continuous improvement of themselves, equipment, and work processes.
• Is comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Keeps work area safe and clean.
• Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
