What We Manufacture and Sell:

Axiota's non-antibiotic solutions prepare cattle for times of transition and stress and support producers' goals of optimal health, performance, and animal well-being.

MS Biotec and Axiota are the world's first and only commercial producers of Lactipro advance, a beef and dairy cattle probiotic based on a pure culture of the lactate-utilizing bacteria: Megasphaera elsdenii. MS Biotec has developed a unique anaerobic fermentation and formulation expertise leading to the successful commercialization of this strict anaerobe.

Role Overview:

This new position will help us maintain double-digit profitable growth by developing strategy, leading, managing, training, coaching, developing, planning, and motivating managers and their staff to achieve the key performance indicators, targets, and goals in conjunction with CapEx project management. In addition, this position will have P&L responsibilities for production and the site while working in an ESG, DEI, GMP, OSHA, GLP, BSL-2 lab, and FDA regulatory environment.

This position is neither a stay-in-your-office big-picture planner nor a hands-on heads-down participant who can't understand or articulate the path to the future; it is a person who can span the spectrum of these skills.

Logistics and Demographics:

The position is onsite at our Manhattan, Kansas, area production facility, home to Kansas State University. This position will report to the VP of Manufacturing and Strategy and manage the Director of Technology and Facilities, Manager of Production and Operations, Director of Supply Chain, and Director of Quality. In addition, will work with the sales marketing and customer service teams to be proactive and responsive to customer needs and requirements.

Axiota has over 120 employees globally, with 50 in our MS Biotec Technology Center located in Wamego, Kansas. We have expansion plans for continued profitable double-digit growth. Our employee mix includes R&D Scientists, laboratory analysts/technicians, manufacturing production specialists, engineers, quality assurance, and quality control technicians, with a national and international field sales force. Our marketing, customer service, and sales forces focus on the USA, South Africa, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, the Middle East, and Europe.

Compensation and Benefits:

Axiota offers a nationally competitive base salary plus bonus and benefits packages, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K retirement plan w/match FSA, HSA, EAP, short-term and long-term disability, and PTO (vacation & holidays).
