Plumbers Assistant Job at University of Tennessee Medical Center
Position Summary:
This position assists with repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
Key Responsibilities include:

Performs general plumbing, repairs on sinks, commodes, showers, and drains.

Removes and replaces worn parts on paitent and nurse/patient related equipment.

Repairs leaks on medical gas systems (air, oxygen, vacuum).

Responds to emergency floods and steam leaks.

Responds to hot and cold patient rooms, replace or repair valves, leaks, thermostats, etc.
Position Qualification:
High School Diploma or GED Required.
1-3 months related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and comprehend one to five step instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information in one-to-one situations.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
