Position Summary

The School of Medicine at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) in New Orleans is currently accepting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position to work on an NIH-funded project on Probing mechanisms and outcomes of Chlamydia trachomatis responses to antimicrobial insults . The incumbent will be trained on the responsible conduct of research and ethics in research and will be required to participate in the departmental seminar series. The incumbent will conduct research on molecular biology and pathogenesis of Chlamydia trachomatis and should have experience with laboratory techniques, including molecular cloning, mutagenesis, protein-protein interaction analysis, transcription assays, and culture of Chlamydia. In addition to the technical training, the incumbent will be mentored to write scientific manuscripts.
