Position:
We are seeking highly motivated individuals for Full Time Optometric Technician/Pre-Tester position available at our Homewood, IL office. Daily responsibilities will consist of approximately 80% patient care, and 20% administrative duties. Previous experience is a plus but not required. We have a comprehensive training program!
Desired Attributes:
- Promptly and professionally assist the doctor in patient care.
- Adhere to privacy, confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (HIPAA)
- Performing technical workups, patient histories and special testing.
- Responsible for maintaining medical supply and equipment inventory.
- Maintain and clean all equipment being used.
- Returning phone calls to patients and pharmacies in a timely manner.
- Efficiently and accurately interview patients and documents histories.
- Assists the doctor with contact lens evaluations.
- Safely and effectively complete contact lens insertion and removal training with patients.
- Accurately performs:- Lensometry
