AWT Labels & Packaging is currently looking for a Press Helper at our Minneapolis narrow web production facility focused on labeling and packaging conversion. Our Press Helpers are responsible for assisting press operators in press setup and run activities.

Located outside of the City of Minneapolis, we are offering onsite training for motivated, detail oriented individuals interested in career opportunities in our printing production facility.

This position is a developmental position for individuals seeking to advance within the print industry to become a Flexographic Press Operator but require training in a narrow web environment.

Over the course of the Development Program, individuals will learn multiple roles within the production environment moving from general responsibilities to more print operation specific responsibilities as they show they have mastered these skills and possess the drive necessary to continue to the next steps. Your schedule will need to be flexible to accommodate different shifts through your developmental training.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and dedicated to advancement through hard work and learning. Full training will be provided to the candidates that meet or exceed expectations. Any Print related experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Wage: $17-$19 an hour to start depending on experience and other qualifications. Wages will increase with the successful completion developmental program.

Position Requirements

• Demonstrated accuracy with math, reading a ruler and information comprehension.
• Position requires substantial twisting, bending, considerable amount of walking and being on feet for up to 12 hours at a time.
• Must be able lift 50 lbs. to waist level without assistance.

• Print related experience (Flexo, Offset, Screen or Gravure preferred, but not required)
• High Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent attendance, flexibility with training schedule and able to work nights.
• Ability to work in an environment with constantly changing activities and priorities.
• Prioritize multiple tasks based on the demands of the department and complete them in a timely manner.
• General comfort with and ability to operate around machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to work well with others as well as alone.
