Speedway is immediately hiring a Pricebook Supervisor who can either work in Irving, TX or Enon, OH.

Supervises a team of Price Book Coordinators and staff members; directs a portion of the work of the department; serves as a thought leader for solving marketing systems and business problems; implements and communicates marketing initiatives throughout the Price Book team and ensures all pricing and item data is current and accurate to maximize product profitability and sales; coordinates communications between price book and internal/external partners; ensures that price book related issues are managed appropriately and resolved effectively

Responsibilities:

• Supervises, hires, trains, evaluates and motivates a subset of the Price Book team
• Oversees and assists with the ongoing setup and maintenance for the price book system
• Establishes and codes price book system to capture all sales related information and activity
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to produce authorized item order guides for the stores
• Supervises the testing and implementing of new procedures or software upgrades and/or implementation
• Ensures data integrity of information entered into the system is accurate, complete and properly formatted
• Supports the made to order (MTO) food program system
• Maintains a support portal to receive any store issues, such as non-scanning items, incorrect retails and makes any necessary corrections as needed
• Supervises the coordination and implementation of product promotions, including the setup of new products or new product lines
• Maintains product/store attributes, taxability tables, and sub-category structure in the price book system
• Understands all pricing regulations, and ensures that all pricing and system settings follow State and local codes and ordinances
• Analyzes category trends, promotional performance and identifies areas that need improvement as product information changes
• Leads projects that support marketing programs and develops creative process solutions for marketing business problems
• Serves as a subject matter expert for onboarding acquired stores to Speedway’s pricing/replenishment systems
• Provides expertise at various meetings by attending, representing the department and presenting data as needed
• Participates in the review of emerging technologies; provides expertise and support in the evaluation, integration and implementation of these technologies
• Keeps abreast of industry standards and current trends by monitoring the competitive and supplier environments
• Identifies and recommends ways to improve efficiency or effectiveness of the group
• Recommends and implements policies and procedures for price book and communicates changes to internal and external partners
• Acts as support for all price book issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If not available, ensures that a reliable backup has been provided
• Manages departmental budget, as delegated by the Manager, establishes direction and sets priorities for spending based upon Company guidelines and strategies
• Develops subordinates and recommends placement in positions suitable for their career progression
• Develops reports for Management as needed
• Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or technology related field preferred

Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years in retail, marketing and/or operations
• Supervisory experience preferred

Skill Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
• Good leadership and team work skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent decision making and time management skills
• Well organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a high sense of urgency
• Ability to learn new products and technology quickly
• Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing and reaching
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
