Just imagine a child’s face when their favorite Princess walks through the door to surprise them on their birthday! Fairytale Friends of San Antonio has many characters we are casting for to give kids this magical and unforgettable experience. Entertain at children’s birthday parties on Saturdays and Sundays all throughout San Antonio. What an exciting a rewarding job this is!

As San Antonio's very first and leading character entertainment company, we have been providing character appearances for 12 years and have performed at over 3,000 parties and special events!

Our performers will learn a step by step party routine which consists of party games, dancing, storytelling, a crowning ceremony for the birthday child, simple face painting, and more. Our goal is to provide magical and memorable character experiences for children all throughout San Antonio!

Once we feel you are ready to go out and perform on your own, we will supply you with the costumes, wigs, and the party materials you need for your appearances.

This is an ongoing job primarily on weekends. Any weekday gigs are optional. If you have continuous ongoing weekend commitments this job job is NOT for you as we need you to be available on weekends as much as possible. *Performers get paid $80 for one hour and $110 for a 1.5 hour appearance and are paid the same day as performances. Performers keep all gratuity.*

*This job can be unpredictable. You may have 4 bookings one weekend with only 1 the next.

All applicants MUST:

• Be at least 19 years of age
• Be extremely mature, responsible, and dependable
• Live in San Antonio
• Have a love for children and fairy tales
• Know how to lead a group of children
• Must have complete weekend availability, mainly on Saturdays
• Be able to commit to bookings made 8 weeks in advance (canceling out on an appearance already scheduled for you is NOT ALLOWED!)
• Have a great smile and a sweet, friendly, and energetic personality!
• No visible tattoos while in costume and no facial piercings
• Have a likeness to any of the characters we are hiring for
• Must be in good physical condition to perform at up to three appearances in a day
• Must know how and be willing to put on a lot of makeup for every appearance
• Be able to drive and have your own reliable vehicle
• Be willing to drive to different party locations all over San Antonio and some surrounding areas including Helotes and some southern areas of Boerne
• Be willing to meet up for photoshoots, costume exchanges, meetings, etc.
• Be willing to wear and take care of ballgowns, gloves, hoop skirts, and wigs, sometimes in hot or cold weather.
• Be a team player
• Be able to give your BEST performance at every appearance you do!

*The ideal candidate is in their late teens/early 20s, has a diverse look, and a beautiful smile and warm personality.
