How the Timing Product Team works
Skyworks is focused on bringing new and innovative clock and oscillator products to the marketplace. These best in class products are more than meets the eye with unparalleled frequency flexibility, exceptional jitter performance, and the ability to be fully customized for each customer in the factory. These products also include innovative DFT/BIST features and novel test methodologies to help guarantee both quality and reliability. Engineers inquiring about this position should be familiar with JEDEC device qualification standards, semiconductor characterization processes, and a strong background in probability and statistics. Knowledge of traditional test platforms is desired but not required. Additionally, interested engineers should have a basic understanding of design simulation, device physics, and high-speed clocking systems. Successful candidates will need excellent written and oral communication skills and be comfortable in explaining technical concepts to a wide range of audiences including both senior engineers and management teams.

Requirements and Skills
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies related to IC development and productization
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems and firmware
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug software, systems, or circuits
- Knowledge of ATE platforms such as Cohu, Teradyne J750, Teradyne IFlex, or others
Desired Skills:
- Strong software development skills, C or Python preferred
- Strong experience in embedded systems and firmware development
- Strong knowledge of software quality processes
- Use of GIT, bitbucket, or other distributed revision control systems
- Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation
- Working knowledge of signal integrity issues, simulations, and solutions
- Experience with multi-person software developments and revision control methodology
Education and/or Experience:
- BS in engineering plus 12 years of experience required
- Masters in Electrical Engineering preferred but not required

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $122,000 - $231,000 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
