The Private Banking Regional Manager (RM) is responsible for providing leadership and direction for a team of Private Bankers and indirect leadership to extended teams throughout the region.  This includes oversight, business development, strategic vision, sales management, leadership and regional community representation.  Drives regional financial performance through growth strategies, sales performance, expense efficiencies and budget management.  The RM reports to the Director of Private Banking, working closely with other department/functional heads in their region to foster teamwork and cross sales.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Design and implement strategy to increase sales, improve service quality and manage employee performance/development.  Strategic objectives are translated into effective tactical operations.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships within the UMB footprint focused on internal partnering to accomplish regional and divisional goals in accord with The Unparalleled Customer Experience (TUCE).
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and industry required regulations. Requires compliance with applicable regulations, bank policies and ensures direct reports fully comply with regulations.
  • Establish sales production goals and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver service and sales planning, coaching and pipeline management.
  • Recruit, hire, train and manage world-class private bankers.
  • Conduct performance management via one on one meetings with Private Bankers.
  • Integrate and partner closely with regional and department leaders of Private Wealth, Consumer Banking, and Commercial Banking.
  • Utilize Salesforce for pipeline management and client relationship management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent experience
  • You have 10+ years relevant experience
  • You have NMLS licensing or can obtain licensing within the first 90 Days

Bonus points if:

  • You have previous regional sales Management experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
