- Virginia Main House: 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment separate from the main residence
- South Carolina: 1 bedroom & 1 bath apartment, separate to main residence
- Kentucky: 2 bedrooms, 2 bath condo within the property
Job Title: Private Chef/Cook, Live-in (The Plains, Virginia)
Job Description
A private individual seeks to hire an experienced professional private chef/Cook who will take full charge of meals and food service for the principal and guests. The ideal candidate will be confident in the kitchen with experience providing high-service support in a fine home. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Must be confident in the kitchen: providing support in cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinners for 1 principal or up to 8-10 guests from time to time.
- Maintaining household inventories; supply procurement including grocery shopping
- Support with minimal housekeeping work, during off hours and weekends
- Work alongside other staff members: Housekeepers, groundskeepers, vendors, and contractors
- Always maintaining home for guest readiness
- Handling special requests and related duties as needed
- Providing white-glove formal service to principal and guests
- At least 5 years related experience in private homes or high-end restaurants
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; fluency in English required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule, available to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid US work authorization
- Must follow all CDC recommendations against Covid-19 and vaccinations
