Job Description
A private in Bridgehampton, NY seeks a kind and personable Chef to prepare daily meals and assist with household duties whenever needed by the principals. The ideal candidate will have excellent longevity in previous positions and will be seasoned in creating a variety of exquisite, healthy cuisines for the principals. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to commit to a full-time position. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- lunch and dinner (sometimes different meals at different times) ideally vegan, vegetarian, fresh home-cooked meals (organic)
- Shopping- including local stores, farm stands and organic market
- Stocking and ordering of all pantry items
- Proper planning and purchasing to be prepared for meals as well as avoid wastefulness.
- Cleanliness of entire kitchen, pantry, refrigerators, etc.- daily, weekly and deep clean.
- Familiar with proper ways to clean/sanitation and food storage.
- Follow proper kitchen safety protocols
- Plating of food
- Setting table and serving
- Salary depends on experience (negotiable) $110,000 +
- 2 weeks vacation, 5 sick days and 2 personal days (after 6 months of employment)
- Medical insurance offered
- Minimum 2-3 years of related experience working as Private Chef
- Experience working in a Private Residence, or hotel
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers
- Superb command of the English language, both written and oral
- Energetic, creative, and versatile
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Polished, professional, and poised
- Utmost sense of discretion and professionalism
- Flexible to work some weekends
- Ability to travel internationally
- Valid US work authorization
- Must follow all CDC recommendations against Covid-19
