Telematics Specific Expectations

Accountabilities

  • Conveying telematics product awareness and consistent and cohesive product messaging.
  • Ensuring the appropriate product training strategies and materials are developed.
  • Ensuring Marketing alignment with product messaging and target objectives.
  • Ensuring PR alignment with product messaging and target objectives.
  • Responsible for telematics product Communications Strategy and materials development (i.e., PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams Channel development)
  • Publication/visualization for program strategies and roadmaps
  • Responsible for program status communications.
  • Skilled in Storytelling techniques and practices.
  • Product/project deployment for incremental deliverables and/or test and learn efforts.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to product volume growth and retention.
  • Assists as primary product support contact for business units
  • Interacts with relevant departments such as Claims, Underwriting, Sales/Marketing, and provides service support (i.e. agents, regulators and industry groups) as needed.
  • Recommends action plans and strategic direction for functional areas and maintains alignment with other product managers to ensure successful development of the telematics product suite line.
  • Collaborates in developing product documentation, underwriting guidelines, manuals, and procedures as needed.
  • Gathers and analyzes data from various sources specific to the telematics product.
  • Monitors product performance.
  • Provides summary analysis, makes recommendations, and communicates to business units.
  • Directs and assists in the development of training and communication materials and providing training as necessary for staff, field, and agency personnel.
  • Monitors pertinent insurance publications to determine impact online of business. This may include:
    • Identifying emerging telematics related issues, state regulatory concerns, and business unit needs.
    • Developing action plans, implementing, and communicating changes when appropriate.
  • Resolves and/or assists with researching, documenting, communicating complex telematics related issues.
  • Provides technical advice to lower-level positions and other functional areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Field of Study: Business, Liberal Arts, Communications or a related discipline.

Experience: 5 to 8 years of related insurance industry or product experience. Two or more years of telematics product experience.
