What’s the role?

dotCMS provides the most scalable, agile & secure CMS for technology teams building digital experiences - and we’re growing! Your role as Product Trainer and Course Developer is to facilitate the delivery of both standard and customized dotCMS product training to new and existing customers, through pre-recorded videos, live training sessions, and "guided" training which combines videos with live Q&A sessions.

The dotCMS product is constantly improving, and you’ll work with R&D, Support, Documentation, Customer Success and Product Marketing to ensure our training helps customers learn the newest and most important features. You’ll be responsible for creating new product training videos, updating and creating course agendas, and integrating all of it into our customer onboarding process through a new Learning Management System (LMS).

dotCMS is an enterprise-grade software product with a large and deep feature set. Your ultimate goal is to communicate both depth and details in a clear and concise manner. You’ll be our product educator, both internally and externally - which will require you to learn dotCMS inside and out, and share that knowledge as widely as possible.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• You’re a great communicator and are comfortable in explaining technical concepts to customers, partners, and internal audiences.
• You speak clearly “on camera”, and take pride in creating clear how-to or explainer videos.
• You’re comfortable doing basic video editing, or working with editors to get it done.
• You enjoy learning about new products and features, and finding just the right way to present them for maximum learning.
• You’re able to work cross-functionally, collaborate, influence and work as part of a team.
• You have demonstrated stakeholder management skills, and are capable of trading off the needs and requests of multiple internal departments.

• 3+ years of experience training end-users on highly technical products.
