Shifts Available: 4pm-4am

Description: This position is responsible for efficient operation of general butter processing equipment, departmental supply and material/product handling, and relief print machine operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.

· Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding, packaging, etc.

· Maintain proper documentation in all record keeping formats

· Operate Rothenberg, chipping, bulk packer, and rework equipment at an efficient level to fulfill plant demands.

· Serve as relief/support staff for machine operators and print & packaging equipment.

· Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved.

· Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed.

· Powered industrial vehicle operations which may include forklifts, scissor lifts, and floor scrubbers.

· Backfill to other positions/departments as needed.

· Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Attention to detail and good organizational skills.

· Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment.

· Basic understanding of equipment operations, and minor troubleshooting ability.

· Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.

· Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance.

· Able to understand daily production needs.

Education/Experience:

· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

· Food manufacturing, material handling, and forklift operation experience is preferred.

· Must be able to maintain a valid forklift operator’s license.
