With our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Production Engineer to our team! This position can be based out of either our Oconto, WI location or Pulaski, WI location, however there will be travel between both facilities.

What the Production Engineer will do:

  • A change agent, sharing ideas and supporting improvement that drives impact in quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Develops standard practices for analyzing and communicating information and reporting qualitative results and trends.
  • Optimize and drive efficiency at all plants, engaging and supporting production staff, supervisors and engineers.
  • Works with plant leadership teams to achieve all established business objectives by driving Continuous Improvement, improve quality performance, eliminate process waste, improve process efficiency and increase the skills and engagement of all employees.
  • Achieved by: Lean manufacturing tools, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, 5S, Material Flow
  • Carries out process improvement and problem resolution
  • Responsible for working with Supervisors and Engineering to submit Product Change Requests
  • Respond to department line calls for technical support and problem solving
  • Identify and solve problems to the root cause through application of Continuous Improvement methodologies and train co-workers on using the same principles.
  • Designing, executing and summarizing designed experiments while also collecting, organizing and summarizing process and experimental data.
  • Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Leads facility kaizen and productivity projects ensuring projects are done according to budget and timeline.
  • Establish reliable metrics to monitor the progress of improvement efforts
  • Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Support departments daily to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale
  • Assists in the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
  • Follow new boat models to ensure drawing/BOM accuracy, part location accuracy and maintain a time balanced work flow.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of proven experience in manufacturing
  • Quality Engineering Experience preferred
  • Knowledge in the Marine Industry a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good Problem Solving: Ability to generate ideas and evaluate potential solutions
  • Ability to analyze Information
  • Continual promotion of Process Improvement
  • Knowledge and experience of Manufacturing Methods and Procedures
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to organize work and perform tasks stand alone, be self-directed as well as within team environment

The Production Engineer will be responsible for leading and deploying the best practices in the manufacturing organization by taking initiative to support continuous improvement in various manufacturing processes by reducing the tooling costs and improving the flow of material and setting up cycle times. The correct candidate will also work towards achieving the manufacturing goals and objectives of the organization. Identifies and recommends improvements by applying the relevant principles. The Production Engineer develops and ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
