We are seeking a professional like you to join our team! As a Production Engineer, you will strive to achieve sustainable target performance from process and plant, whilst ensuring full compliance with complex regulatory requirements.

• Your unwavering commitment to workplace health and safety will be evident as you ensure that all activities within your area of responsibility are carried out in compliance with BASF regulations, the site Responsible Care Management System, and all relevant State and Federal regulations.

• Leveraging your education (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry and your experience in chemical manufacturing or process development, you will monitor and analyze plant and process performance, asset effectiveness, and quality data to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions and improvement opportunities.

• Your solid problem-solving skills will aid you in providing technical support and direction to the Shift Supervisors and operators in the resolution of plant problems.

• Your knowledge of the chemical industry and OSHA safety, health, and environmental laws, regulations, and standards (including PSM – Process Safety Management) will be essential as you coordinate, support, and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental regulatory requirements within your area of responsibility.

• Using your strong computer skills, you will compose and submit environmental and other regulatory reports as required.

• Relying on your robust technical knowledge, you will program and perform basic maintenance on distributive control systems.

• Multi-tasking effectively on a regular basis, you will provide support for contractor oversight, management of plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and start up.

• Your strong organizational skills will serve you well as you create, review, and update operations documentation, and implement training for the operations team when technical changes are required.

• Successfully engaging within the organization, you will liaise with other departments and functions as required to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and consistency of approach for manufacturing operations.
