Job Responsibilities
Create designs, images and logos used for screen printing and embroidery applications, promotional items, and for print and digital purposes. Design depth will range in scope depending on project.

An ability to “create” for different artistic styles in both athletics and varying corporate industry groups.

Creation of art proofs for all customer orders and the facilitation of these proofs through the production process as they are used in various sales orders. Will work extensively in our production software and with other production departments to add/update designs, document variations to existing designs, update back-end files, etc.

Collaborate with internal sales teams and customers on customer design requirements, project parameters, and budgetary requirements, with an ability to lead, recommend, and provide creative artistic solutions for projects.

Work with customers on sign/paper projects, including product research, calling vendors for information, quoting projects, presenting quotes to customers, preparation of orders and POs with any third-party vendors, entering orders into our production system, facilitating the completion of these orders in house, and following orders through all stages of the order, providing customer service along the way.

The ability to answer and field customer questions as it relates to design elements and all signage projects, while communicating with internal sales reps and production.

Attend morning sales meetings regarding signage projects and design needs.

Work closely with marketing department to create sales and marketing visuals, website content, etc.

Facilitate design requests as they come in, assigning designs to other remote staff graphic artists, and facilitating the system/production paperwork for all orders completed by all artists.

Handling administrative duties for the company as it relates to the art department.

Job Requirements
An extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is required.

Professional training in graphic and art design is preferred.

Prior graphic artist professional experience is preferred.

Experience with graphic design for screen printing and the advertising specialties industry is a definite plus, including file manipulation, trapping requirements, color adjustments, and design adjustments needed to transition files from garment embellishment to paper/digital printing.

An extreme attention to detail is needed.

Strong professional conversation etiquette is needed for interacting with company employees, vendors, and customers.

Clear communication and an ability to explain complex artistic concepts in simple terms are needed in order to help customers work through design decisions.

Problem-solving skills needed and an ability to use critical and creative thinking to identify and resolve issues with products and orders.

Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with an ability to design within designated deadlines.

Excellent team, motivational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills but also an ability to work alone.

The ability to multitask and quickly switch your focus is necessary.

An understanding of sales principles and production departments within our company.

Experience with computers, e: mail, and Microsoft Office programs. The ability to learn and efficiently use our in-house industry specific production software is mandatory.

Interviews will begin the week of January 30th.

Wages will not be discussed prior to the interview process, and will depend on job experience.
