About the Role: We are looking for a Production Leader to join our GPP team who will be responsible for directly leading a team of up to 12- 20 associates across multiple lines and shifts that manufactures commercialized products. In this position, you will have overall responsibility for the short-term execution, performance, and assets of a manufacturing team. Your primary goals include maintaining proper team staffing to meet established build plans while meeting key business metrics.

This role will be located at one of our facilities in Elkton, Maryland.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead area and team to ensure metrics and goals are achieved
  • Be responsible for the performance management and development of the team
  • Coordinate and execute resourcing plan as it relates to staffing, equipment and other resources to effectively meet business need
  • Review and execute the financial forecast according to plan
  • Execute consistent processes to deliver products that meet customers’ quality expectations and requirements
  • Ensure all environmental health and safety requirements are met in area of responsibility
  • Establish and promote a continuous improvement environment with the team and ensures the application of lean principles
  • Foster strong partnerships with all manufacturing support functions, including engineering, planning, QA, EH&S, Regulatory, etc

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or minimum of 2 years operational leadership experience
  • Previous experience working in an SAP environment
  • Experience working effectively within teams, both as a leader and team member
  • Experience developing others and driving/execution of projects to completion
  • Knowledge of lean principles
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer and math skills, including but not limited to: tracking systems, data entry, Microsoft Word & Excel, and data analysis systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collect and analyze data
  • Ability to follow and enforce manufacturing procedures
