PRODUCTION MANAGER
Landscapes by Terra is seeking a Landscape Production Manager to join our award-winning landscape design/build division. With over 50% growth increase in the last two years, Landscapes By Terra is seeking a motivated individual who will help with the continued growth of the company. This position is responsible for safety/training, employee retention, scheduling and supervision.
Brief Overview: The Landscape Design/Build Production Manager oversees project progression, convening team meetings, implementing decisions, organizing workshops, and coordinating with project collaborators. In addition to supervising, training, and motivating the work of 2 to 5 installation crews to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, while supporting and advancing company values and standards.
Production Responsibilities
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met onsite and offsite. This includes use of appropriate Personal Protection Equipment by all team members, utility lines marked, and adhering to building and safety regulations.
- Meet production goals and work in a cooperative environment with co-workers, foremen, and managers to understand and meet the production and qualitative standards set by the company.
- Visit job sites on a regular basis, observing organization of work, identifying, and resolving training issues and taking necessary actions to ensure quality.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively using the company’s technical software (Site Audit Pro, Team Engine, Bamboo HR, and LMN).
- Expert knowledge of landscape building products, construction equipment and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Filling out and complete paperwork properly for billing – monitor job costs and strict adherence to established schedules and budgets.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment and contribute to its upkeep, maintenance, and storage.
- Perform snow and ice removal on commercial and residential properties (remove snow by shovel or plow, spread salt/chemicals to clean sidewalks and parking lots).
- Serve as the liaison between sales, customer, and crew.
Qualifications of the Production Manager
- Competent in conflict and crisis management – positive attitude is a must!
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Move and handle material generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Working outside with regular exposure to varying weather conditions ranging from below zero temperatures to 100 plus temperatures.
Certifications and Licensing
- Must have a valid driver's license and approval from underwriting to drive company vehicles.
- ICPI Certified Concrete Paver Installer certification is preferred.
- Commercial Pesticide Application license is current.
Education requirements
- Associate degree, high school diploma and/or equivalent education and experience in landscape or construction related field preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in landscaping with hardscape experience, including supervising work crews as a foreman or crew leader.
- Proven working experience in landscape design/build as management, at least 1 year.

Work hours
- Available to work 50 - 55 hours a week, April through November; start time 6:45 AM.
- Available to work 40 - 50 hours a week, December through March; start time 7:45 AM.
- Snow and Ice Management required and paid an additional hourly earning; must be available 24/7 during snow contracted months to coordinate, plow or salt when needed.
