Production Night Manager

Ready Seafood Company is a rapidly growing wholesale lobster business located up and down the coast of Maine with headquarters based in Saco, ME. Position Summary

The Production Night Manager, which will report to the Operations Manager, will be responsible for night operations. Specifically, the Production Night Manager will ensure that all tasks for the night shift are completed, overseeing the night shift employees, and managing their daily responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

• The Manager should always have a phone accessible to them while at work to receive calls from fellow management or employees.
• This position also requires you to be available by phone outside of work as needed.
• Inventory Management of Live Lobster
• Complete ownership on when and how orders get packed out
• Quality control of incoming and outgoing products; when issues or discrepancies arise, responsible for communicating to the team
• Manage all incoming and outgoing transaction within Seasoft, (ERP System) while also overseeing and monitoring any changes within the system made by others
• Hold or attend brief shift meeting promptly at shift start time next to the time clock. Make it as detailed as possible to reduce amount of confusion and questions throughout the shift.
• Accuracy of packing weights and paperwork is of the utmost importance to make sure the company operates in the most cost-efficient manner.
• Label checks, shift reports and inventory must be completed after every shift.
• Make sure all product entering or exiting the facility is time stamped, recorded, and stored and/or shipped properly and in the most professional manner possible.
• Reporting and filling out incident reports in case of injury, accidents, or malicious behavior.
• Motivating, Supporting, and providing guidance to production staff
• Communicate Effectively with supervisors/team that all tasks are completed to company standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (ERP system experience a plus).

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to team lift up to 100lbs
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 per year
