Summary:
Packaging Operators: In support of the packing area, you are responsible to achieve standards and be certified for all activities associated with at least two packaging machines. Able to handle routine duties and complex duties associated with set-up, operations, changeovers, assembly/ disassembly, cleaning, training, and safety on your own. Performs all production operator support and/or Packaging Operator job duties as required.
Processing Operators: In support of the Enrobing and packaging departments, you are responsible to achieve standards and be certified for all activities associated with at least two Enrobing Lines or all packaging lines. Able to handle routine duties and complex duties associated with set-up, operations, changeovers, assembly/ disassembly, cleaning, training and safety on your own.
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
  • Recommends suggestions for improvement
  • Uses sound judgement in authority to shutdown line and immediately reports safety, food safety, maintenance, production and quality problems to the supervisor
  • Required to read, understand and follow all customer specifications
  • Able to manage limited supervision and is able to handle routine and more complex duties including troubleshooting, assembly/ disassembly, metal detection and/ or changeovers on your own in most cases- if help is required, you are required to escalate the issue to the leadership team.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all food quality and quality requirements are met by the team including date codes, startup check sheets, and first piece perfect
  • Responsible for ensuring/ assisting in training of new or current team members effectively
  • Monitors and tracks productivity/ quality and looks for opportunities to maximize line effectiveness
  • Monitors and controls weights of products
  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking and completing all paperwork associated with consumptions and GMP rules and regulations
  • Follows and ensures that all team members follow all safety and GMP rules and regulations.
  • Assist in all positions/ jobs involved in the line (s) as needed or directed by management
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Skills & Experience:
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and understand customer specifications
  • Basic math skills
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required
